Ashish Suman is a PhD Scholar at Jawaharlal Nehru University specialising in urban environmental change and geospatial data science. His research integrates GIS, remote sensing, and spatial analytics to examine land-use dynamics and sustainability challenges. He has previously worked across academia, public policy, and data-driven research roles.
His research and technical expertise are supported by advanced training from NASA ARSET, Esri, and international programmes such as the IGCS Winter School and ENGAGE! Summer School. He has published on species distribution modelling in Frontiers in Sustainable Resource Management and authored a NABARD study on financial inclusion among farmers.
Ashish holds a Master’s degree in Ecology and Environment Studies from Nalanda University and a Bachelor’s degree from the Cluster Innovation Centre, University of Delhi. His broader interests include spatial data science, environmental modelling, urban resilience, and evidence-driven policy design.
